I first met Natalie in the first grade, shortly after her family moved to Tennessee from South Dakota. We played soccer on the same team and were in the same girl scouts troop, so naturally we became best friends! As the years past, her family ended up moving again to Fort Collins, Colorado. Over the years we have visited several times and stayed in touch. There is no replacing a friendship that can pick up after 2 months without talking and it feels like you just left off. Those kind of friends are precious and worth hanging onto.
I remember the call when Natalie met Jason. Almost instantly, she knew he was THE ONE. So incredibly excited for my best friend to find her forever life mate, we started making wedding plans just a little bit early.
I was absolutely honored to be the Matron of Honor at her beautiful Colorado wedding in September 2021. Naturally, being in the wedding meant I could not photograph it, but the very next day we took a little adventure into the mountains to photograph the newlyweds - the best possible gift I could give to my best friend!
First we ventured up Poudre Canyon Rd, and stopped at a few of the pull off areas. Picknick rock and Greyrock Trailhead before we crossed the Cache la Poudre River for a few hiking trail photos!
Then we came back towards town and visited City Park. This is the exact spot that Jason proposed to Natalie! It’s such a special and beautiful place, and was the perfect location to wrap up our photo session.
